UNDERSTANDING TICKET RULES: How to Enter Multiple Addresses on a Single Ticket
Entering your site information correctly helps ensure your full work area is located and keeps your project on track. Get the info you need to enter address ranges the right way. When working with multiple addresses, you can include up to five addresses, lot numbers, building numbers, units, apartment numbers or structures.
Here are some key guidelines:
Address Range Rules: When using an address range, the distance between the first and last address must be one mile or less, and all addresses must be on the same road.
How to Format: Do not use commas or periods. Instead, use a dash to show the range, for example: 11-19 Plantation Rd.
Locate Description: Clearly state where work is being done, e.g., “Locate the (back of / left side as facing / right side as facing / front of) the property at 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 Plantation Rd.”
Exact Address: Always enter the exact address of the dig site, even if the system map cannot find it. Do not use an address that you can find and then direct to your dig site in the locate.

When an address isn’t in Exactix, you’ll need to manually map. Sunshine 811 offers a course Manual Mapping Examples to walk you through this process.
Remarks Section: Any additional details, like directions or special instructions, should be entered in the Remarks field, not in the site information.
